Madrid has a rich cultural offering, leisure activities, and has a unique architecture that is able to enthrall everyone that comes to the city and, of course, if it is one thing the city has it’s Museums to enjoy different types of art (painting, sculpture, etc.), either thanks to its permanent exhibits or the temporary exhibits that come to the city and fill the grand space. The most common and well-known museums are always on everyone’s mind: the Prado, Reina Sofía or Thyssen. However, we should not ignore those museums of different categories that teach us a bit more about our history, regardless of our tastes, but rather include them on our list of places to visit.

  • Costume Museum: fashion is almost more in fashion and for fans of this true art, the Madrid Costume Museum offers a retrospective look of everything it has to offer us and gives us an overview of typical clothing for each era, with an emphasis on the details and great designers of our age. With a permanent exhibition of regional costumes, we are always able to enjoy a unique and broad viewpoint of men’s fashion that is rarely seen.
  • Museum of Romanticism: is one of the treasures of the city center. Located in the area of Alonso Martínez, on one of those small streets that hides things you could never imagine, this museum is full of just that, romanticism. You will be received by its marvelous interior patio, a garden that houses its own café from another era where you can enjoy tea and cookies. Drawings, sculptures, furniture or paintings that in the blink of an eye will make you feel you are in the middle of the 19th century.
