Orgullo Gay 2017

The Madrid Festival the whole world is waiting for is almost here. Of course we are talking about the World LGBT Pride Festival or World Pride Madrid 2017. This year the festival will take place between Friday, June 23rd and Sunday, July 2nd. A nine-day party where the only thing that matters is having fun and promoting tolerance and respect for sexual diversity. To properly celebrate World Pride Madrid, we’ve provided you with five unmissable plans for the 2017 edition.

The race for diversity – Another way to enjoy this festival is through sports, and that’s why this year (drum roll) the 1st Official World Pride Race will be held on Sunday, June 25th.

World Pride Park – The LGBT Pride Festival will inaugurate a new space at Madrid Río, specifically at the Puente del Rey. On June 28th a cultural exchange space will be opened for the general public.

Pride Proclamation – Although the festival will have begun five days before, the proclamation will take place on June 28th in the Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, officially signaling the start of the festivities in the Chueca neighborhood.

World Pride Parade – Saturday, July 1st will be a day of awareness to attend the parade, the focal point of World Pride, which will wind through the center of Madrid from Atocha to Colón.

Entertainment options in Chueca – The last plan we have for you is to stroll through the Chueca neighborhood and enjoy its restaurants, cafés, bars and local festivities which enliven the days and nights in Madrid.
