Harry Potter The Exhibition

If you’re a Potterhead (a lover of the Harry Potter series) you’ll be thrilled with what we have to tell you in this article. Madrid is the only city in Spain where you can visit Harry Potter: The Exhibition. The exhibit, which is on display at pavilion 1 of IFEMA (Madrid’s expo center), began on December 1, 2017 and, although initially it was only going to be here for a few weeks, it has been extended until April 2, 2018.

What will get to enjoy as at the exhibit?

This traveling exhibit has already made stops in Boston, Chicago, New York, Brussels, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, as well as many other cities. This 15,000-square-foot exhibition includes a wide array of artifacts from the Harry Potter movies. A significant portion of the exhibit consists of the props, wardrobe and some of the costumes used during filming. You can also take incredible photos surrounded by the scenery from the movie sets.

Scenery

You’ll feel like a real member of Gryffindor when you visit one of the rooms of the house and its common area. There are other areas you can walk through as well, such as Hagrid’s impressive hut, the potions classroom, the forbidden forest, the herbology classroom (where you can remove a mandrake from its pot) and, the most spectacular of all, the Quidditch field, were you can throw a Quaffle like an actual player.

In addition, until December 10th you’ll find 4 enormous replicas of some of the most well-known items in the series in Madrid: the Nimbus 2000 broomstick, the Hogwarts sorting hat, the house-elf Dobby and Weasley’s flying car, the Anglia Ford. We’re sure you’re excited to get up close and personal and take memorable photos with these enormous artifacts.
