FITUR Madrid

Today marks the start of the Madrid Tourism Fair. This fair has been, for years, a global meeting point for tourism professionals and a source of inspiration for all those interested in finding a new destination to discover. In 2019, in addition to having a large number of exhibitors, Fitur will have the new thematic area called Fitur Film, dedicated entirely to film tourism and which will make it possible to boost all those locations that serve as the setting for series, film and advertising footage.

Thematic areas also include Fitur LGBT+ and Fitur Festivals that focus on promoting music festivals or Fitur Health, which seeks to promote wellness tourism, spas, clinics and general well-being trips.

In the 2018 edition, Fitur counted with more than 10,198 companies from 165 different countries and regions. This variety is a reflection of the efficient way in which the fair adapts to market trends and the growing demand for different and improved tourism options. The fair has also had an undeniable success in aiding in new professional contacts thanks to its different themed areas. Professionals can contact exhibitors and get information about their new products. The exhibitors themselves can observe the year’s tourism trends and plan their strategies accordingly for the following year.

Like other years, the fair will take place in the IFEMA exhibition center in Madrid. The first three days (January 23, 24 and 25) access to the fair will only be for professionals from 10:00h to 19:00h, while the weekend (January 26 and 27) it will be open to the general public from 10:00h to 20:00h on Saturday and 19:00h on Sunday.
