Gastrofestival 2020: taste Madrid

From February 7th to 23rd, Madrid will once again become a party for your senses thanks to the Gastrofestival 2020. This festival serves as a continuation of Madrid’s gastronomic season, which began in January with Madrid Fusión.

This year, in its eleventh edition, the festival will have the participation of over 400 companies as well as public and private institutions. There will also be the usual thematic blocks such as Gastronomic Madrid, Gatroculture, Enoculture, Sensorial Experiences, Gastrosalud, Gastrofashion and Solidarity Gastrofestival. In addition, there will be two major new features: a new recipe book of homemade Madrid cuisine and the Gastrofestival Recommends section.

The aim of this annual event is to highlight the variety and exceptional gastronomy of Madrid, as well as to explore the union between cooking and different disciplines such as art, music, painting, cinema or literature.

The new Madrid recipe book aims to pay homage to the housewives and to transmit the culinary tradition together with the gastronomic diversity of the city’s homes. This recipe book was published in 2019 and contains 20 homemade recipes, as well as a list of the 46 municipal markets in Madrid distributed throughout the main districts of the capital where you can buy magnificent products of all kinds, excellent raw materials and always with the best value for money.

Many of the participating restaurants, bars and shops are very close to our hotel in Puerta del Sol or can be easily reached by public transport.
