This year, the International Tourism Trade Fair is being held from January 17th to January 21st in Madrid. It continues to be a meeting point for tourism professionals, as well as anyone who wants to discover the various options and destinations the industry has to offer.

Last year, FITUR broke its record for participation, both with regard to exhibitors and visitors from the general public. The business volume has increased and the attendance of numerous journalists from around the globe show the high expectations for this international event.

How to get the most out of Fitur

– Madrid’s International Tourism Fair is a massive exposition of cities and countries sharing the best they have to offer. As a visitor you have the opportunity to enjoy eight pavilions comprising one of the most important showcases in the world of tourism.

– It is best to take your time strolling through the various pavilions. Begin with number 3 (America) where folklore is one of the main attractions. Traditional dances from Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic and the warm decoration with ambient sounds from Mexico and Costa Rica will pleasantly surprise you.

– You can continue meandering about Spain’s pavilion, where Andalusia occupies the largest area and offers a broad range of opportunities beyond the sun and beach. That said, each autonomous community is full of delightful discoveries and you will be able to uncover the riches of our land.

– Lastly, walk through the other pavilions to discover what Europe (4), Africa and the Middle East (6) and the Asia Pacific (8) have to offer.

Don’t forget, you’ll need a nice treat to get through the day. The pavilions will provide you with plenty of opportunities to try traditional foods and there will also be bars and restaurants offering the best of the international market at a reasonable price ensuring that you leave with a pleasant taste in your mouth after your trip to all five continents.
