Will you be in Madrid during the warm and long-awaited days of Summer? If you will be, in addition to visiting the city’s most popular spots and trying its delectable dishes, you’ll surely want to spend a few enjoyable, peaceful moments having a coffee, cocktail or soft drink in one of Madrid’s best terrace areas (or doing a little “terraceo” as we like to call it here). The following are a few suggestions which won’t disappoint.

La Latina – Not really sure where and how you want to end the day? If that’s the case, we recommend you head to the La Latina neighborhood. When you arrive, enjoy the area’s traditional bars and their street-side terraces — there is quite a bit of history in each paving stone beneath your feet.

Paseo del Pintor Rosales – Sunshine and fresh air is synonymous with the terraces on Pintor Rosales, an avenue full of places to have a refreshing drink flanked by a row of leafy trees which lead you to the park where you will find the famous Templo de Debod.

Plaza Mayor – Obviously, when you go to the Plaza Mayor to have a snack or a coffee you know that it will be more expensive than other places in Madrid, however the ambiance in this corner of the city is unbeatable. It’s worth the extra few cents or (sometimes) euros.

The terrace of the Hotel Europa – We would be remiss not to remind our guests that our terrace, right in the city center on Calle Carmen, is the perfect spot to experience the heart of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol. You can people-watch while you sip one of our cocktails which are, quite frankly, delicious.
