Tres sombreros de copa

Until 13 June, you can enjoy Three Top Hats a great comedy by Miguel Mihura. Madrid is famous for its great theatrical offer, and this play stands out in 20th century Spanish theatre for the way it incorporates absurd theatre elements into the narrative.

The plot follows Dionisio, who is in the hotel of a small provincial capital, trying to fall asleep the night before his wedding day. However, he can’t sleep because he can’t stop thinking about all the other lives he might have had. When Paula, a young dancer who is passing through the city, appears, Dionisio will begin to question whether he should marry or leave with Paula instead.

You can enjoy Three Cup Hats from Tuesday to Sunday at 8pm at the María Guerrero Theatre (Tamayo and Baus, 4). In addition, for the last performance on Thursday 13 June, the theatre company has organized a meeting with the entire artistic team. It also has two accessible performances, on June 6 and 7.

Three Cup Hats is a play in which time is corrupted, the floodgates are opened to fears and desires and in which, at all times, we will have to be cautious so that the odd, grotesque and curious do not take over our existence.
