Autumn in Madrid

Madrid is a city that is full of life and plans all year round. One of the best times to enjoy it is undoubtedly autumn. Thanks to the privileged climate of the Iberian Peninsula, autumn in Madrid is an ideal time for all kinds of plans, from outdoor walks to museums of all kinds on rainy days.

Walking around El Retiro is an excellent way to enjoy the pleasant climate of the city and appreciate the changing color of the leaves typical of this time of the year. The trees are stained orange and mixed with green grass to offer a unique landscape. Similarly, Madrid has other parks such as the Oeste Park. This is an excellent alternative where you can visit the famous Temple of Debod and witness a sunset and a panoramic view of the city. Also, the charming Botanical Garden of Madrid, which was created for Carlos III by Juan de Villanueva and the botanist Gómez Ortega in 1781, is another green area worth visiting in autumn.

A little rain may fall during this time of year, but Madrid is prepared for it with shows such as musicals, theatres, cinema, etc. just a few metres from our hotel, in the middle of Gran Vía. From Broadway musicals such as the Lion King, which has been transporting viewers to the heart of Africa for 9 consecutive seasons, to the best featured movies in the famous old Capitol cinema.

Museums do not cease to amaze, as there are options for the whole family. From a tour of the iconic Santiago Bernabéu stadium, to discovering famous people in the Wax Museum, to the National Museum of Natural Sciences or the Railway Museum, which hide incomparable historical jewels, Madrid has it all.
