Teatro Invencible con Maribel Verdú

Madrid premieres a new play entitled Invincible, written by English playwright Torben Betts in 2014 with excellent reviews. The Spanish version of the play is by Jordi Galcerán directed by Daniel Veronese and cast star Maribel Verdú.

The play is a social satire that shows the harshness of relationships between people of different backgrounds through comedy. The production revolves around a high-class couple who, due to the crisis, have to move to the humblest neighbourhood on the periphery. The relations between them and their new neighbours will end up becoming a nightmare and for the spectator it will be a whole journey in which they will feel identified at some point. Starring the talented Maribel Verdú, the comedy shows how differences in culture and social status can end up causing irreparable damage to couples.

Since it premiered in Bilbao and has toured all over Spain. Now it returns to Madrid to the Teatro Cofidis Alcázar. Critics have described it as one of the most interesting social satires of recent theatre. The cast and the team together with the director Daniel Veronese, managed to confirm the success that this play had achieved in London at the time.

The theatre is very close to the hotel on Calle de Alcalá, 20. The play lasts 90 minutes and is recommended for all audiences. Tickets start at 16€.
