Verdes y agradables parques de Madrid en verano

Just like in other seasons of the year, but perhaps even more in the summer because of the free time we have and because the days are longer, Madrid has much to offer: museums, landmark buildings, events scattered throughout the city and, of course, the usual but more than attractive shopping routes. But if there is something that you cannot miss and that you really should enjoy in the summer in Madrid, it’s the parks.

The city’s parks really represent an oasis in the middle of the commotion where you can go to take walks, relax with a good book, enjoy a refreshing drink surrounded by nature and breathe fresh air to recharge your batteries. This summer you have a wide range of possibilities throughout Madrid to end your day with a long and relaxing walk to disconnect after an intense day.

–       El Retiro:is the first on the list and without a doubt the most well-known park in Madrid and probably in all of Spain. With more than 118 hectares in the middle of the city next to Puerta de Alcalá, the park has unique vegetation with long streets for taking walks, areas for sitting down and relaxing, as well as spaces for playing sports, not to mention the enormous lake for those that wish to surprise their loved ones with a boat ride.

–       El Capricho: this park is becoming increasingly more well known thanks to numerous fashion shoots that have taken place at this beautiful park. This park, which is smaller than Retiro but is also a lot more peaceful, is located in Alameda de Osuna, which is very close to the city.

–       Madrid Río: since its creation this is without a doubt a great discovery, especially for athletes. This park is more than 6 kilometers long and has had numerous fountains, bridges, child-friendly spaces and green areas.
